In this course teachers learn the theory and principles of Problem Based Learning, with a particular focus on developing higher order cognitive capacities such as convergent and divergent thinking in learners. Participants actively apply these principles throughout the course, working collaboratively to solve complex, meaningful problems. This course also provides an insight into the range of technologies that can be used to enhance the learning experience as part of a Problem Based Learning curriculum

In this full day course, teachers learn the principles of Problem Based Learning, working through a complex, real-world problem to develop skills in problem finding, collaboration, communication and creative problem. Teachers will spend a significant proportion of this course immersed in Minecraft, learning how to use this digital environment as part of their problem based learning curriculum.

About This Course
In this full day course, teachers learn the principles of Problem Based Learning, and they practice applying these principles while immersed in digital learning environments. This is a hands on course, and teachers will be exposed to an array of different digital technologies that can support and enhance the student experience during a problem-based learning course.
